Passion Project Analysis

So far, Me and Ashwin have accomplished a big part of what we plan to complete by January. we plan on making a music video, and so far we have made the song and have begun to plan out the video and where we will shoot it and when. The only thing that me and Ashwin have to accomplish is making the video and editing the video clips together, which shouldn't be too hard considering I have edited things before. The only obstacles I can think of are that we would have weather issues with shooting the video and that we would have a little difficulty editing the video and figuring out which video clips go where and how to put them together. Other than that, Ashwin and I are pretty much good to go.

Passion Project Updates & Reflections

At this point, I am extremely satisfied with what I have accomplished in these first weeks of the passion project. Ashwin and I have written an entire song, and we are now in the process of planning a music video. We have about 8 weeks left in the passion project and I am very confident that me and Ashwin will be able to complete our project and have time to review it and edit it if need be. The only two things that me and Ashwin need ti do, are shoot the video with the instrumental of the music, and edit it so that the sound and Ashwins's voice are clearer. the only obstacles that I can think of are editing the actual video. Shooting it will be no problem, its just putting the clips together. But overall, I am very confident in what I have accomplished with my project.

Outliers

Outliers. They're everywhere you look. Seriously. Maybe you don't know it yet. But you can be an outlier yourself. It's amazing. But one outlier that stands out in my mind, is Ke$ha. Now, before the tomatoes come flying at me, let me explain myself. Well first off, she has an IQ of over 140, which is borderline genius. When I read this I almost fell out of my chair, considering what kind of reputation Ke$ha has in Hollywood: #hoe. But seriously, that's a very high IQ, and to put it in perspective, Albert Einstein's IQ was estimated to be hanging out in the 160 range. Up next, she scored a 1500 on her SAT in high school, which is a hair short of perfect, considering that back then, a perfect score was 1600. Incredible. I honestly thought that all of this media buzz about Ke$ha being smart was just some tabloid bull crap, but as I read further into it, my jaw hit the floor. And last, but certainly not least, her mother was a famous singer like herself. Pebe Sebert. Whether you realize it or not, this factor was a HUGE advantage for Ke$ha growing up, because whenever her mother brought her to the recording studio, her mother always encouraged her to sing, and after she found out she could actually sing, it took off from there. Like I said, Ke$ha isn't one to have a reputation for being a genius, but at only proves my statement. Outliers are everywhere you look, they may not have equal opportunity, like Chris Langan, who is said to have an IQ of 210, but works as a bouncer at a bar. You never know just how successful ou can be until you apply yourself, and maybe then, you will realize that you were an outlier.

Joyas Voladoras

Thats a funny name up there isnt it? /|\ I think it is. Anyway, This essay had so much meaning to it in ways that were so subtle, if you didnt pay attention, you wouldnt have noticed the subliminal messages hidden inside the words of this essay. The meaning I took away from it was that it doesnt matter how big your heart is, or how much you try to barricade it from the rest of the world. If something strikes you the right way, it could either war your heart like, "the sweet apple berath of a child" or it could break your hert like , "a cat with a broken spine dragging itself into the forest to die." This essay made me rethink life, not neccesarily in a positive way, but not in a bad way, I just kind of thought about life a little more with each paragraph of this essay. My favorite line was, "each heart made silent, a brilliant music stilled." It was so inspiring to me and held so much meaning that I actually went home and thought about it, which I never normally do with anything that deep and meaningful. This essay had realy made me rethink what I have done with my life so far and what is in the future. And I realized that my life will be full of love and loss, and through it all, I will have to keep on moving.

Everybody's Free to Wear Sunscreen: The Next Line

In the song, Everybody's Free to Wear Sunscreen, the lyrics, are quite interesting. They consist of only true advice that could really help you in your life when you get shipped out of High School and even college. Though, there were only two pieces of advice that really struck me as interesting. one of those pieces of advise was, "Don’t waste your time on jealousy; sometimes you’re ahead, sometimes you’re behind…the race is long, and in the end, it’s only with yourself." Another really useful piece of advice was, "Enjoy your body, use it every way you can…don’t be afraid of it, or what other people think of it, it’s the greatest instrument you’ll ever own." The only piece of advice that I would add to this song is, don't let people bring you down;take them down with you if you let them get to you. This song is truly motivational in every single way and it can teach everyone who listens to it a very important life lesson, whether you realize it or not

Something Worth Learning

Now I know that there are useless pieces of knowledge, eagerly waiting for someone to learn their secrets and spread them around the community, but is it worth it? Is it worth taking up space;wasting your time for something that you will forget in the next hour or so? Not even a little bit. Now, I'm not going to give you factual information on something that I find worth learning about, I'm not going to ramble on about something amazing that I discovered the other day, no. I'm going to tell you a life lesson, not one that you've all heard like, "don't do drugs," or something cliche like, "life is unfair." I'm going to give you, "something worth learning."
It's plain and simple really. Life is what you make of it. Think about it for a second, it could blow your mind, or maybe not, maybe, you've already thought about that and you're thinking right now, "Oh my god, here we go again." It really is something worth learning because, if you are a person veering off the good path in life, if you remember that very simple life lesson, it could save you from a life of drugs, alcohol, and all those terrible things.
I told you it wasn't cliche, or stupid and corny, it can really help you. If you're in a bad spot in your  life an you want to get yourself out of it, this statement pops into your mind and can possibly save your life from a long road of misery and despair. And best of all Mrs. Mystrena, it's something actually worth learning. Whether people actually tell it to you hands on, or indirectly, its a life saving life lesson that everyone should know and love.

Wasteland Documentary

The most memorable part of the whole movie was when Vik revealed the final product of the project with all of the garbage included, and watching their reaction of seeing the beautiful artwork that they were portrayed in. Also, how much they benefited from Vik's work was also another memorable part of the movie. I learnd just how lucky I am in life and how well off I am in society and how well of an education I have. I will take away with me that I really should appreciate the smaller things in life, because once their gone, their gone. To have your boring, monotonous job turned into something that means so much more than your job must be one of the greatest things to see, especially when your job is as terrible as the jobs at the Jardim Gramacho Landfill. If i were the subject of Vik's artwork, I would feel on top of the world because that artwork would make me famous and it would sort of attract me more to the world of art. I think that there are aspects of my life that would lend themselves to this type of art.

My Random News Story

BREAKING NEWS

Faye Mesich is the local, "champion of the hills", as some of the residents call her. She is the only skiier inher town and the only one to ever attempt the steepest and largest hill in their neighborhood, she failed terribly. She went approximately 5 feet before she tumbled down the rest of the enormus hill, named the Goliath, due to its massive size and steepness of 89.9 degrees and 500ft tall. It took her an hour to reach the bottom, and when she did, she brought an avalanche  of not only snow, but an avalanche of cheers from her ffiends that decided to wait at the bottom and not cheer her on. She went home that day with only a small bruise, and a shattered spirit, but hopefully she continues to do what she does best, and tumble down Goliath once more.

New Years Resolutions

I learned many new things in 2012 that I will never forget in my life. I learned that I am a very strong person when it comes to emotional things. Also, I learned that in the real world, it is pretty hard just to make ends meet, but if you want to be more successful than just the bare minimum, then you need to work your a&% of out there. I learned that life is like a river, if you try to fight the river, you will drown, but if you go with the flow, then the river will push you downstream. Of all of the many things about life, the world, and myself, these are the most important out of all of them by far.
I am against New Years Resolutions to be honest with you, to me they just seem pointless. Why make a New Years Resolution if in 2 or 3 weeks, you will forget what you wanted to resolve? Well, to some people, a New Years Resolution is a great thing, but you couldn't describe it in a way that would make it seem like it was meaningful. But to all of those people that like New Years REsolutions, keep on makin' 'em!
